Dear Joangela & Charles (Mcgoo), I'm a friend of Maria & Joann.  I've met your family several times. You all came here for Joann's 60th birthday. You have a beautiful family. The Bible says, Except a grain of corn fall in the ground and die, it abideth alone but, if it fall in the ground and die it bringeth forth much fruit. Your children and grandchild (including the other young man that passed away) deaths are not in vain. I pray that much spiritual fruit will come 100 fold and remain for the glory of God. May the peace of God keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus. God is Merciful. You will see them again. 2Cor. 5:8...Absent from the body and present with the Lord....Wherefore comfort one another with these words. My condolence to the family:

   May prayers go out to the family, but remember God do not make mistake. On April 21, 2010 God went into his garden and he pick 4 beautiful flowers. I can't know how you the mother feel to lose two childrens and a grandson, but remember will send his comforter to comfort you in a time like this just believe and know he will see u through.  I remember when my sisters and I came to sing at Cornerstone Baptist Church for a program my sister Nicky McKinsey put on and Nik did all our hair, and she jooked our hair up. She was a very good hairdresser. So Nik RIP, and jook so hair up in heaven. You will be missed in Peoria.

I worked with Youlandice at the Early Learning Center. She always made me laugh. She was always smiling. She loved her son first and foremost and always made him her priority.  She was very outgoing and fun. She lived life to the fullest. She was never scared to take a chance. She was an awesome person to get to know. I am thankful that I had the chance to meet her. You will be greatly missed and NEVER forgotten. My heart goes out to her family for the loss of such an incredible person. R.I.P Youlandice

Wow! I can't believe that your gone! I remember picking you up so you could braid my hair. The long talks, and the hours of listening to old school gospel songs and R & B music. You always said you needed something up beat while you braid. I was just telling you how I couldn't believe that you were all grown up. I will miss you more than you know, little sis.

She was like a living butterfly,

Her smile so soft, tender and shy

Her heart forever calm with laughter and love,

She carried a Christ-like spirit that will forever soar above

These words are full of memories and love,

Everyone that knew her, can you feel her presence?

Moving like the sweet breeze of spring's essence

Lil man was always busy running and playing,

Nik was a beautiful young women, everytime I seen her she was smiling. She was respectful to me and always called me Ms. Brenda. Nik was a camper at the M.L.K day camp. The simmons family were very faithful campers, nik will me missed. She loved her family and it didn't matter how old she was she would always try to sit in joangela lap when she wanted something at work. She also worked with me at dist # 150 for a while. One thing that makes my heart happy is that she was a beliver in christ and that's where she's resting now . May the lord wrap you'll in his powerful arms and rock you until you'll feel better. He will be there when everybody else is gone trust him and call on him, he will give you comfort

My cousin was real cool and laid back and she kept me laughing. We were alike in soo many ways. We called each other on a weekly basis and at one point we saw each other every week. I had just went to see her at her apartment a few days before this tragedy took place. It's hard realizing it'll be a long time before I get to see her again. I am happy knowing without a doubt that she will get a chance to raise my little cousin because there is life after this one. I have nothing but good memories of her and I'll forever hold on to them. I'm missing her like crazy but at the same time loving her endlessly!!! And to all of the family members just try to stay positive as she mostly did.

I remember graduating from Youlandice at Manual she was quite..but most from the Early Learning Center she would always laugh while telling me the stuff my daughter Aaliyah used to do while there..yet she was 1 of the few teachers whom could control her while there..my heart goes out to her family for the loss of such a great girl and mom.
